This afternoon (Monday), The FA released details for its FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Youth Cup competitions for the upcoming 2020-2021 Season.

Farnborough Football Club have been accepted into The FA Cup, The FA Trophy and The FA Youth Cup for the new Season.

The FA Cup

Farnborough will enter The FA Cup at the Preliminary Round stage on Saturday 12 September, after a random draw determined us as one of four Clubs from The Southern League Premier South to enter the competition one round earlier than usual.

From The Southern League Premier South, Farnborough, Harrow Borough, Hartley Wintney and Wimborne Town were chosen to participate in the Preliminary Round.

Beaconsfield Town, Chesham United, Dorchester Town, Gosport Borough, Hayes & Yeading United, Hendon, Merthyr Town, Metropolitan Police, Poole Town, Salisbury, Swindon Supermarine, Taunton Town, Tiverton Town, Truro City, Walton Casuals, Weston-super-Mare and Yate Town were all handed a Bye into the First Round Qualifying.

The early draws for the Extra Preliminary and Preliminary rounds will be released on Tuesday 18 August.

In order to assist in easing pressure on the football schedule, there will be no replays for the 2020-2021 Season in the qualifying competition.

The FA Trophy

Farnborough will enter The FA Trophy at the Third Round Qualifying stage, which is due to take place on Saturday 31 October.

The FA Youth Cup

Ben Murray’s Farnborough Academy will enter The FA Youth Cup at the Preliminary Round, which is scheduled for the week commencing Monday 7 September.

The early draws for the Extra Preliminary and Preliminary rounds will be released on Tuesday 18 August.
