Preview: Farnborough Vs Wycombe

Farnborough will host full strength Wycombe Wanderers squad this Saturday afternoon at the Rushmoor Stadium. Tickets available on the turnstiles.

After two consecutive wins, Steve King's Farnborough squad will be looking to make it three in a row come Saturday afternoon. After scoring five goals and only conceding one in the last two games it is clear that the Boro team is gradually coming together. There is a lot of competition for positions all over the field and the Farnborough players are aware of this; the pressure to impress the Farnborough fans and the manager is on with only a few games left in the pre-season.

Wycombe Wanderers will be a stern test for team. Wycombe were relegated last season finishing 22nd in the Npower League One but still remain a strong outfit and have great support form their fan base. The club were awarded 'Family Club of the Year' in the 2006/7 season and then the 2007/8 season. Wycombe's first league game will be just one week from from their visit to Rushmoor Stadium so a big crowd is expected from the traveling fans to watch their final pre-season game.

Wycombe side could also feature England U19 starlet Matt Phillips who has only recently returned from international duty. Phillips stood out from the England youngsters at the European Championships scoring a crucial late goal against the hosts France to send the U19's into the semi-finals. Matt also played in the semi-final but the England team lost 3-1 to an impressive Spanish team.

As always Saturday will be a great opportunity for the Farnborough fans to watch their team in action against another quality side playing in a high level football.
