| Farnborough's Transfer Embargo Lifted |
|
Farnborough's transfer embargo has been lifted by the FA this afternoon with immediate effect.
Farnborough F.C are delighted to confirm that the FA have today lifted the transfer embargo with immediate effect having finally received confirmation of players payment being made. The long wait is over and the recently promoted football club is looking to move forward and begin to focus on the important season ahead. The clubs news will be very welcome to the Farnborough faithful who have been concerned about this matter taking a prolonged period to resolve. Despite the assurances of chairman Simon Hollis that this matter was in hand, some sceptical fans have expressed concerns on both the Farnborough’s fans forums and league forums. The snowballing effect of these negative rumours have led Simon Hollis to host a fans forum this Wednesday afternoon at the Rushmoor Stadium. Steve King will now be able to build his squad for next season and will surely be looking into securing and renewing some contracts at the club as soon as possible. The trialists at Farnborough have shown patience and positivity in waiting for this embargo to be lifted; even with interest from rival clubs they have continued to play a part in Boro’s pre-season and hope to make King’s final cut. Fans can now look forward to hearing more news of potential new recruits to join the Farnborough cause. The club has been working very hard behind the scenes over the summer and Simon Hollis had to say he is “delighted that this long drawn out saga has been concluded and hopefully this will put supporters minds at rest! The club have always been very comfortable that this issue would be resolved but were becoming concerned with the length of time that it has taken. We can now look forward to the forth coming season without this matter hanging over us.”
