All at Farnborough Supporters Trust (FaST) and Club supporters who knew him were very saddened to learn of the recent sudden passing of Graham Ellicott.
Graham had been supporting Boro along side his son David since 1993 and watched many matches both home and away. He served FaST with great distinction joining the Board in 2007 and soon took on the position of Treasurer. Later Graham changed his role to Secretary and finally held this jointly with being Chairman until he stepped down from the Board in 2016. As a Board Member he expressed his views with great clarity and his input into dealing with contentious issues was invaluable.
Graham was also a keen supporter of fund raising events particularly those involving cycling. His fundraising extended to charities such as the Royal Free Hospital, where he underwent a liver transplant in 2017, and Parity for Disability.
The club has lost a true gentlemen whose company we much enjoyed and he in turn took great pleasure from the football banter he shared with many supporters.
Our thoughts and condolences are with David and the family at this difficult time. RIP Graham.
The family have requested that any donations are made to www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gellicott
Graham’s funeral is on Thursday 8 August at 12pm at Easthampstead Park Crematorium, South Road, Bracknell RG40 3DW. A wake will be held at Easthampstead Park (RG40 3DF). The wake is a 5 minute drive from the funeral. The family have said that this will be a celebration of his life and attendees are welcome to wear their team colours.
A minute’s applause will be held at our home game against Poole Town on 10 August 2019 and an article written by Graham’s son David will appear in this weekend’s Boro View.
