Farnborough First Team players and staff paid a festive visit to the Children’s Ward at Frimley Park Hospital on Saturday (21 December) morning.

Staff representing the Club were Manager Spencer Day, Physio Emily Cooper and Kitman Roger Peirce. Players included Captain Tom Leggett, CJ Fearn, Andrew Sealey-Harris and Bradley Keetch.

Members of the First Team spent time touring the Children’s Ward, speaking to and handing out presents to poorly children – many of whom will not be coming out of Hospital for Christmas.

First Team Manager Spencer Day commented: “We try and do it as often as we can, especially at Christmas time. We brought down some of the players and management.

“It’s a terrible time of the year. The staff at the Hospital do a wonderful job. We bought a few smiles to the children. It was great.

“Thrilled that the players bought presents out of their own money. The Club has supplied a lot as well.

“We’re just trying to bring a few smiles in a difficult time and it’s easy to forget that there’s a lot of people that are having a very tough time. We’re just grateful we’ve come down and hopefully they all have a fantastic Christmas.”
