Farnborough Football Club are delighted to learn that Chairman Simon Gardener was re-elected as a Director of The Southern League for a further three years at last night’s AGM.
Our very own Chairman had completed his two-year term as a Director of The Southern League but was very keen to continue in the role and was one of the nominations in last night’s vote.
Given the number of candidates out numbered the places on the board, an election was necessary.
All 83 member Clubs took part in the election and our Chairman Simon Gardener was successfully voted back onto the board of Directors for three more years.
Speaking after the AGM, Gardener said: “I’m delighted to have been voted to continue as a League Director and would like to say a big thank you to all the Clubs for their support.
“I must also take this opportunity to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone connected with Farnborough FC, to have a member on the Southern League Board of Directors from your Club is only possible because of each and every single one of you.”
Everyone at Farnborough Football Club congratulates Simon on his re-election!
