In Season 2015-2016, Marc Wardley’s first full Season in charge of Farnborough Academy, there were 5 players from the Academy who signed First Team papers.
Last Season, the First Team played in the Ryman League Premier Division. Harry Knight, Josh Francis and Ryan Zidyana all featured in last Season’s Farnborough FC campaign, with Ralph Karumazondo and Mo Sharif also signing First Team paperwork.
Academy Captain, Harry Knight signed his First Team papers and made his debut coming off the bench against East Thurrock United in November 2015. The week before, Ryan Zidyana and Josh Francis made their debuts, again coming off the bench against Wingate & Finchley.
With Marc Wardley also having a good rapport with the First Team Manager, during the 2015-2016 Season nearly everyone from the Academy got the chance to train with the First Team.
As an Academy, we look to continue to build on this success and have more players featuring in the First Team in future years to come.
