Getting to The Meadow (courtesy of www.cheshamunited.co.uk)

By Road

Coming from the South (or from M4/M40)
Take J18 off the M25 taking the left lane of the slip road to turn left on to the A404 to Chorleywood/Amersham. You will follow this road through Chorleywood straight through 2 sets of lights. You will then pass a school on your left handside, about 1 mile down the road from there you will see the road bear to the left with a right turn to Chenies and Latimer, take this turn and follow the road in to Chenies, this road will lead you to Chesham, you will see a manor house to your right as you follow the road for about 3 miles. You will eventually find yourself on a one way system at a ‘left turn only’ junction, you will shortly pass an open air pool to your left, follow the road under the bridge, Chesham United is the 2nd exit off the roundabout. This route is not suitable for Coaches!

Car Parking
The car park at The Meadow is accessed via the main entrance drive and parking is free. Players, officials and sponsors have their own allocated area. Please advise the club in advance if you are bringing coaches so that space can be reserved. There is limited on-street parking in the immediate vicinity of the Ground – when using this please respect our neighbours and avoid blocking entrances.

If additional space is needed there is alternate free parking on the gravel hardstanding area on The Moor (NB height restricted entry, cars only) and payable parking in the town car parks, see the map below. These are all within about 5-10 minutes normal walking distance of the Ground.

By Train
Chesham is part of the London Underground network and is at the far west of the Metropolitan Line. Walk out of the station and head down Station Road towards the High Street. Turn left and walk through the town until you reach a pedestrian crossing (opposite the Red Lion). Cross the road and bear left by the pub then continue walking until you pass two petrol stations which are opposite each other. At the next roundabout the third exit takes you into Chesham United’s Ground. The walk from the station takes 5-10 minutes.

The Meadow

Entry to the Ground, and to the bar on match days, is through the main turnstiles. Both home and away supporters, as well as casual visitors, can pay on the day with cash at the entrance turnstiles for the vast majority of games. If a game is declared as ‘all-ticket’ requiring advance purchase, which is extremely rare, it would be separately publicised when it became applicable. Once in the Ground supporters are free to watch the game from whichever position they choose and to move around the Ground – home and away fans are not segregated as a rule at this level unless specifically requested for one-off games. The clubhouse and bar is accessible from within the Ground on matchdays. NB Only alcohol bought from the club bar is permitted within the clubhouse or Ground and any discovered will be confiscated. Alcohol is NOT permitted outside the clubhouse for FA knockout competitions such as the FA Cup and FA Trophy.

Due to local authority licensing conditions, drums and other musical instruments are NOT permitted in the Ground on matchdays.

The Chess Suite
The Chess Suite is our match day bar at Chesham United where we host around ninety matches each season. The bar stocks a range of draught ale, cider and lager currently featuring Marlow Brewery’s Rebellion IPA (branded as Generals Beer after the club’s nickname), Marstons Pedigree bitter, Shipyard American IPA, Aspall cider, and Fosters, Carlsberg, Stella 4 & Estrella lagers. Plus a range of additional bottled drinks along with wines, spirits, soft cold & hot drinks, sweets & chocolate bars and crisps & snacks from Chesham’s own Salty Dog crisp company.

With three TVs including a big screen projector the clubhouse also has BT Sports showing live matches when available. Full length windows overlook the Ground giving excellent views of action on the pitch with access straight onto the terracing. Drinks bought in the club are allowed on the terrace in plastic containers. Please ask for plastic when ordering at the bar if you intend to take drinks outside.
