Manager, Spencer Day confirms the exit of last night’s winning goalscorer, Keith Emmerson.

Keith’s departure comes after scoring the winning goal in Wednesday’s home win over Banbury United and he was also presented with the Man of the Match award by the Lloyd family.

Spencer Day explained: “As with most of the players I spoke to Keith in the last few days about this season and next.

“He made it clear due to off field personal and professional matters he was looking to move back to his home on an urgent basis and it would be “extremely unlikely” that he would be able to play for Boro next season due to personal and work circumstances.

“We agreed that we would part in the near future so we could both build for next season and he came to me last night thinking that the game was the best send off he could give.

“Emo has been absolutely brilliant for me and the Club and everyone here wishes him and his family all the very best with their exciting future which he thoroughly deserves.”
