Cureton and Coles hat-tricks see The Rams hit for six

A hat-trick each from forward duo, Jamie Cureton and Perry Coles saw off low-lying Beaconsfield SYCOB in the final round of League fixtures.

Zaki Oualah’s long clearance was gathered by Perry Coles just outside the Beaconsfield box and his pass to Oli was intercepted by Lyons but the Farnborough striker pounced on the loose ball to open the scoring after eight minutes. Farnborough 1-0 Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Farnborough were dominating possession and came close to a second goal minutes later when good build-up play involving Donnelly, Oyenuga and Coles saw Cureton hook Pearce’s cross to the back-post back across goal where Coles’ on-target volley was unfortunately blocked by his own team-mate Oli, on the post.

Beaconsfield, however, gave Farnborough a wake-up call at the back as Charlie Losasso crashed a strike against the bar from distance with Oualah beaten.

On 16 minutes, Oyenuga won a free-kick near the right corner flag and Ciardini’s resulting cross into the box was met by Huggins’ right-boot and Jamie Cureton got the last touch to double his sides lead. Farnborough 2-0 Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Beaconsfield looked for a response and Mapley cut inside from the left and his ball over the top of the Farnborough defence reached Losasso who tried to pick out Berry in the six yard box but Fearn got a vital touch to take the ball into the hands of the grateful Oualah.

Oli took a quick throw-in on the left to Pearce outside the Beaconsfield box who slotted Cureton in on goal but Ayoub saved the Farnborough strikers low shot.

Farnborough made it three on 27 minutes as Perry Coles scored an incredible solo goal which would have been a certain goal of the season contender had he scored it a few weeks back. Pearce’s throw-in from the right was controlled on the edge of the Beaconsfield box and Coles dribbled away from at least four defenders before striking the ball into the net with his weaker left-foot. Farnborough 3-0 Beaconsfield SYCOB.

A Donnelly free-kick from the left ricocheted into the path of Oli inside the box whose left-footed strike lacked power and was comfortable for Ayoub.

The hosts made it four just before Half Time as Oyenuga embarked on a trademark run up the wing; on this occasion he started from near to his own box before exchanging passes with Pearce while advancing into the Beaconsfield half. After loosing Mapley and while Jewell didn’t make a challenge, Oyenuga played the ball to Jamie Cureton whose first touch took him away from his man before rifling into the net. Farnborough 4-0 Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Straight from kick-off, Beaconsfield created an attack with Jones cutting in from the right and picking out the lively Losasso whose touch took him away from Donnelly before his fierce strike dipped just over Oualah’s bar.

HALF TIME: Farnborough 4-0 Beaconsfield SYCOB

Farnborough Manager, Spencer Day made three changes at Half Time with Pat Cox, Charlie Allen and Jack Barton all coming on for Nic Ciardini, Dennis Oli and John Oyenuga respectively.

Cox picked up a loose ball on the edge of the Beaconsfield box and played Coles into the box and his low cross fortuitously fell to Allen who sliced his effort wide.

After Lyons cheaply gave away possession, Donnelly drove forwards and played Cureton into the box but he was forced wide which allowed Llewellyn-Reid to get a block in before the ball was recycled to Cox who passed to Donnelly outside the box. Donnelly found Allen whose hopeful first-time ball forwards should have been a routine claim for Ayoub who opted to punch the ball and Cox volleyed the loose ball over the bar from inside the box.

Beaconsfield won a free-kick inside the Farnborough half which Losasso struck into the wall which consisted of Allen and Donnelly before the rebound bounced wide of Oualah’s left-hand post.

Farnborough took their ‘foot off the gas’ as Beaconsfield had a good spell and Jones’ was allowed time and space to dribble forwards and Losasso latched on to his ball over the top but anchored a first-time volley wide.

On 70 minutes, Emmerson burst down the left and got past Lyons and then Wholfiel before crossing perfectly for the unmarked Cureton who guided the ball into the bottom-right corner to complete his hat-trick. Farnborough 5-0 Beaconsfield SYCOB.

From a Beaconsfield free-kick, Allen got hold of the second ball inside the Farnborough half from Emmerson’s headed clearance and played a great through ball to set Coles one-on-one with Ayoub who cooly finished to also wrap up his hat-trick on 75 minutes. Farnborough 6-0 Beaconsfield SYCOB.

An Ayoub drop-kick from inside his box was won by Donnelly inside the Beaconsfield half whose header bounced into the box where Cox did well to cross to Allen whose header was straight at the visiting keeper.

The creative Losasso exchanged passes with Mepham on the left before rolling Jones into the Farnborough box and he dinked the ball towards the back post where the unmarked Aaron Couch side-footed home to grab a consolation goal for the visitors on 84 minutes. Farnborough 6-1 Beaconsfield SYCOB.

A route one move saw Oualah’s long kick flicked on by Cox and Cureton’s half-volley was saved by Ayoub and trickled out for a corner.

Close to Full Time, Farnborough had another chance to make it seven as Llewellyn-Reid’s short clearance fell to Pearce who played a one-two with Allen and advanced into the Beaconsfield box before unleashing a powerful left-footed shot which made it to ‘Row Z’ of the PRE Stand.
