Pearce strike secures second place finish for Farnborough

Boro’ made sure of a second place finish in the League along with Home advantage in the upcoming Play-Offs with three points at Sharpenhoe Road.

Sam Pearce’s twelfth minute shot from distance beat Kyle Forster in the Barton Rovers goal and that proved to be the match-winner in the second versus third contest.

Farnborough goalkeeper, Zaki Oualah make a superb save to deny Connor Calcutt from close range on 15 minutes.

While, Jimmy Hartley later put a chance wide for the hosts, before Jamie Cureton broke through on goal but missed an opportunity to double his sides lead.

Farnborough defended stoutly in the Second Half to cling on to a single-goal lead and also wrapped up a third consecutive clean sheet in the League.
