This Saturday, Farnborough visit The Simplyhealth City Ground for our penultimate Pre-Season Friendly against Craig Davis’ Winchester City.

Farnborough

Spencer Day’s side make the trip down the M3 for a Friendly against Winchester City, with the end of Pre-Season just around the corner.

Farnborough have won four out of five Pre-Season Friendlies; most recently beating Ashford Town (Middlesex) 3-1 on Tuesday evening.

A Perry Coles brace and a John Oyenuga goal saw Boro’ run out winners in midweek, following on from a busy weekend which saw Farnborough play two games in as many days last weekend.

Speaking on Saturday’s opponents, Manager Spencer Day said: “It’ll be a tough game [Winchester], which is another reason I chose that. Craig Davis puts together a very strong side and we want tough tests before the League Season starts.

“This is the opportunity to try and fix problems before it matters in the League matches.”

Farnborough last time out (vs Ashford Town): Luke Cairney (gk), John Oyenuga, Nic Ciardini, CJ Fearn (Capt), Josh Huggins, Jack Smith, Matt Bunyan, Kieron Forbes, Jamie Cureton, Perry Coles, Connor Calcutt; Patrick Ruzicka (T), Ainsley Everett (T), Ethan Allen and Liam Stone (gk) (T).

(T) denotes a trialist.

The City’s most recent signing is striker Pat Cox who has re-united with his former boss, after departing Farnborough.

Saturday’s hosts also have duo, Andy Jenkinson and Ollie Bailey in their squad – both played for Farnborough during the 2015-2016 Season.
