Eagerly-anticipated top of the Table clash at Garden Walk!

Spencer Day’s side head in to Tuesday’s top of the Table clash five points behind Royston Town, with the current League leaders still having a game in hand.

At the weekend, Farnborough dispatched of fellow play-off rivals Barton Rovers 4-0 at The Rushmoor Community Stadium with goals coming from Perry Coles, Eddie Smith, Nic Ciardini and Sam Shaban.

Previewing Tuesday’s top of the Table encounter, Manager, Spencer Day said: “We’ve got a very very big game on Tuesday night. We’re massive underdogs, we can accept that.

“I’ve got a lot of credit for Royston – they’ve done a fabulous job. We’re second to them at the moment and they’re rightfully big favourites on their patch.

Day also said: “We’ll give it everything we’ve got and we’re looking forward to it. It’s one of those where financially we can’t touch what they’re trying to do – we’ve just got to go there and be positive.

“Exciting games [coming up] that the players should embrace and that we should embrace as a Club and we’ll look forward too.”

Royston Town

League leaders, Royston Town are looking to rediscover the inspiring form that saw them recently enjoy a 13 game winning streak in the League, stretching all the way back to 1st October.

Following a shock defeat at Kidlington on 11 January, The Crows were back in action at the weekend, overcoming Fleet Town 2-0 at Garden Walk courtesy of an own goal and a Ryan Ingrey strike.

Speaking to www.roystontownfc.co.uk after his sides victory over Fleet Town, Manager Steve Castle said: “Yet again not a classic match from our perspective, we didn’t have the quality in the final third that we produced last Saturday but a great response from Wednesday’s dismal show so a positive outcome from the week.

Ahead of Tuesday’s big game, Castle added: “So onto Tuesday and a top v 2nd tie against Farnborough at home. These are the type of matches that everyone should be excited about.

“Farnborough will want to win to gain ground on us and we obviously want to extend the points total between the two sides.

“We have [Captain] Scott Bridges back available to us which is a bonus but all of our lads will have to be “At it” to gain a result we want.”

Royston Town last time out (vs Fleet Town): Joe Welch (gk), Ryan Towner, Danny May, Spyros Mentis, Ryan Frater, Adam Murray, Kaan Fehmi, Adam Watkins, Matt Nolan, Josh Castiglione, Martel Powell; Rod Orlando-Young, Stuart Bridges, Ryan Ingrey, Daniel Brathwaite and Chris Watters.
