Slough Town make the trip to The Rushmoor Community Stadium for what is set to be a cracking Bank Holiday Monday clash.

Farnborough

The Yellows crashed to a first Away defeat of the Season at the weekend, with ten men Farnborough losing 0-3 at Merthyr Town last time out.

Ahead of the busy Bank Holiday weekend, Boro’ brought in Dan Walker on loan from Billericay Town and the winger made his debut as a substitute on Saturday.

Speaking after the loss in Wales, Manager, Spencer Day said: “The only real positive I can take out of today, besides the first fourty minutes, is that we play again so quickly. Of course, the flip side to that is we really need some rest. The players are playing for the second time in a week.

On Monday’s opponents: “Slough have got a massive squad – I’m nothing but jealous. They’ll be able to rotate many players. They’re going to be right up there. It’ll be a tough game.

“We’ve just got to realise if we keep working and playing the way we are; in large patches, without having any luck, then we can turn this around. We’re a decent side. People that were here today were very complimentary until this red card decision.

“We know we’ve got some good footballers. We’re playing some decent football. We need a bit of luck. Against Slough we need the fans to get there. We’ll be big underdogs again – we know that. There have been plenty of pluses for us, we just haven’t had the cliché ‘rub of the green’ yet.”

Farnborough last time out (vs Merthyr Town): Luke Cairney (gk), Jake Evans, Nick Hutchings, CJ Fearn, Jack Saville, Josh Huggins (Capt), Keith Emmerson, Matt Bunyan, Jack Barton, Perry Coles, Nic Ciardini; Jamie Cureton, Dan Walker, Ethan Allen and Aiden Upward (gk).

Farnborough turn to Bank Holiday Monday’s clash in their search for 3 points

Slough Town

The Rebels are joint-managed by former Farnborough Town players, Neil Baker and Jon Underwood and their side come into Monday’s clash on the back of a 3-0 Home victory over St Ives Town.

Chris Flood, James Dobson and Gavin James all got on the scoresheet as Slough Town bagged a first Home win of the new Season.

Bank Holiday Monday’s visitors have former Farnborough duo, Alan Inns and Nathan Webb in their squad and are able to welcome back striker Matt Lench following a suspension, along with defender Josh Jackman.

Talking to www.sloughtownfc.net after Saturday’s win, Neil Baker said: “We’ll definitely change personnel. There will be some changes on that front. Farnborough have had a tough away game at Merthyr where they’ve been beaten 3-0 with a long journey back.

“So with the beauty of our squad, hopefully we can make a few changes and if we can go there and get three points it’ll be a fantastic weekend.

“Looking forward to going back. It’s a very different Club to what it was but there’s still a number of fantastic people around. Hopefully we’ll travel well. I’d urge our fans to go there, make as much noise. I’d love it if we could get really good numbers there on Monday.

“I’m sure there’ll be a good crowd. Hopefully we can go there and get three points.”

Slough Town last time out (vs St Ives Town): Jack Turner (gk), Sean Fraser, George Wells, Nathan Smart, Mark Nisbet (Capt), Lee Togwell, James Dobson, Simon Dunn, Manny Williams, Chris Flood, Warren Harris; Guy Hollis, Alan Inns, Nathan Webb, Brad Wadkins and Gavin James.
