Farnborough entertain Beaconsfield SYCOB in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central in our last game before the Play-Offs commence.

Farnborough

Spencer Day’s side will want to put Monday’s defeat behind them as the Club looks ahead to the all-important Play-Offs.

Farnborough’s eight game unbeaten run came to an end in their final Away game of the Season, at Ashford Town (Middlesex) at the start of the week, with a Jack Beadle strike settling the contest.

Boro’ beat Beaconsfield SYCOB 5-0 in the earlier League meeting with goals from Josh Huggins, Dennis Oli and a Jamie Cureton brace.

Summarising on the Season, Manager, Spencer Day said: “As we enter our final match of the season we have finished a very comfortable second having either been first or second throughout the campaign.

“The remit of this year was to have an enjoyable period and continue the rebuilding of the club both on and off the pitch after many years of financial turbulence. I have no doubt that we have more than achieved this.

“Of course we have the daunting lottery of the play-offs to come but whatever the result, and of course we hope it is positive, we can all look back with a great deal of pride on the 2016/17 season.

“Football can be a tough world and certainly Boro have had a horrible few years but the last 18 months on the pitch have been a breath of fresh air that I certainly have enjoyed.

“What the future holds I don’t know but I would certainly jump at the chance to keep the squad together at whatever level because it’s extremely rare to have such a talented and nice group of people together.”

Farnborough last time out (vs Ashford Town): Aaron Bufton (gk), John Oyenuga, Keith Emmerson, Josh Huggins, Curtis Osano, Sam Pearce (Capt), Scott Donnelly, Pat Cox, Dennis Oli, Jamie Cureton, Nic Ciardini; Perry Coles, Charlie Allen, Keith Emmerson, Jack Barton and Zaki Oualah (gk).
