Farnborough welcome 4th placed Barton Rovers in a big game at the top of the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central
The Yellows occupy second place in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central, trailing Royston Town by five points and the League leaders also have one game in hand.
Last weekend, a poor Second Half display at Potters Bar Town saw Farnborough come away from Hertfordshire with just a point in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Speaking ahead of this weekends challenge, Manager Spencer Day applauded the visitors form this Season: “Barton Rovers have an excellent manager and their away form is what has particularly taken them to the top of the table.
“They play an attractive fast flowing game and we know we will need to perform at a high standard to get the points. Ultimately we are probably both battling for play-off positions after the amazing run at Royston which you just have to applaud.
Day added: “We have a lot to look forward to the second half of the season and Saturday’s match is vital in trying to put a gap between us.”

Farnborough let a two-goal lead slip at Potters Bar Town last week
Barton Rovers are fourth in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central and trail Farnborough by 5 points with both sides having played 25.
Managed by former St Albans City boss, Jimmy Gray, this weekends visitors have won 14, drawn 5 and lost 6 in the League so far this Season.
The Mighty Rovers were in League Cup action on Tuesday evening, progressing into the Quarter Finals with a 3-2 win over Aylesbury, courtesy of goals from Charlie Smith, Michael Malcolm and Dan Hutchins.
Last Saturday in the League, Barton Rovers let a two-goal lead slip, drawing 3-3 Away to Aylesbury, with Connor Calcutt (2) and Jimmy Hartley getting on the scoresheet.
Speaking after the 3-3 draw against Aylesbury, Manager Jimmy Gray told the Clubs website: “We didn’t do a lot wrong and despite Aylesbury’s lowly league position they played excellently and matched us all over the park.
“I couldn’t fault the lads for their effort on a difficult pitch after all the rain but we must learn to hang on to a lead. It was two points dropped.”
