The biggest game of the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central Season sees Farnborough host Barton Rovers in the Play-Off Final.
The Yellows cruised into the Play-Off Final with a 4-0 Semi-Final victory over Egham Town on Wednesday night, courtesy of a Perry Coles brace and strikes from Jamie Cureton and Scott Donnelly.
Play-Off Finalists and the Leagues runners-up, Farnborough scored 14 goals in half as many games throughout April and head into Monday’s Final in superb form having only lost one game in their last 11.
The Yellows will need to make Home advantage count to gain promotion back to Step Seven in what is their most significant game of the Season.
When the two sides last met, Boro’ beat Barton Rovers 4-0 at Home on 14 January with goals from Perry Coles, Nic Ciardini and departed-duo, Eddie Smith and Sam Shaban.
Giving his views on our Play-Off Final opponents, Manager Spencer Day said: “I’m not trying to be disrespectful to anybody but I think on paper, Barton have got the third best squad in this Division. They’ll say second – they’ve got some outstanding players there.
“We won relatively comfortably here [at The Rushmoor Community Stadium] some time ago but we had a right old battle with them on their pitch which is obviously particularly difficult and I think they will thrive on playing on this surface.
“We know it’s going to be a very difficult game. We’ve achieved nothing – all we’ve done is got ourselves into the Final. Now we’ve got to go and finish the job but of course we’re all really looking forward to it.
“We will rightly start as favourites but we’re going to have to pull out another really good performance to beat a very good Barton side.”

Farnborough’s biggest game of the Season awaits them on Bank Holiday Monday
The ‘Mighty Rovers’ finished third in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central, 13 points behind Farnborough, winning 23, drawing 8 and losing 11.
Led by former St Albans City Joint-Manager Jimmy Gray, Barton Rovers overcame Marlow 2-0 to book their place in this Seasons Play-Off Final.
The Leagues second top-scorer, Connor Calcutt scored one in that Play-Off Semi-Final to add to his tally of 29, with fellow-striker Danny Watson grabbing the other goal.
Barton Rovers lost 0-1 to Farnborough at Sharpenhoe Road in the League on 8 April, with a Sam Pearce strike separating the two sides.
Talking after Wednesday’s win, Manager Jimmy Gray told Luton Today: “It wasn’t pretty but we dug in and ground out the result.
“There were some outstanding performances from our boys. [Lee] Closey was faultless, Luke Knight had a great game, Danny Watson changed things when he came on but Tommy Smith in the heart of defence got the man of the match by a whisker.
Gray added: “We go again on Monday knowing we are the massive underdogs but I’m sure as with today’s game the lads will give everything.”
Barton Rovers last time out (vs Marlow): Kyle Forster (gk), Danny Hutchins, Charlie Smith, Luke Knight, Steve Gentle (Capt), Tom Smith, Jimmy Hartley, Scott Sinclair, Elliot Bailey, Connor Calcutt, Lee Close; Paul Andrews, Victor Osobu, Danny Watson, Howie Hall and Tom Coulton (gk).
