Farnborough are in Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central action this weekend with the visit of Aylesbury to The Rushmoor Community Stadium.
Farnborough go into this weekends Home game with relegation-threatened Aylesbury on the back of two consecutive 3-1 victories.
Last weekend, Spencer Day’s side came from behind to overcome Uxbridge at Honeycroft courtesy of goals from Nic Ciardini, Jack Barton and Perry Coles.
The Yellows will want to keep up their winning streak at The Rushmoor Community Stadium this year, having scored nine goals in their previous three Home games.
The earlier League meeting with Aylesbury saw Farnborough squander a two-goal lead and go on to lose 2-3 at Haywood Way on 15 October.
Speaking about last weekends victory over Uxbridge, Manager, Spencer Day said: “We focused on putting on a more consistent structure away at Uxbridge last time out and despite going a goal down we thoroughly deserved our victory in a very professional manner that was encouraging after some inconsistent away performances.”
On Saturday’s opposition, Day added: “We know they are fighting for survival and have had lots of changes recently with a new manager so we will need to step it up again to get the three points we need as the season starts towards its conclusion.”
Farnborough last time out (vs Uxbridge): Aaron Bufton (gk), Josh Huggins, Keith Emmerson, CJ Fearn (Capt), Curtis Osano, Sam Pearce, Jack Barton, Eddie Smith, Perry Coles, Dennis Oli, Nic Ciardini; Sam Shaban, John Oyenuga, Jordan Goater, Ethan Allen and Joel Driscoll (gk).
Farnborough won 3-1 Away to Uxbridge last weekend
Led by newly-appointed Player-Manager, Davis Haule, Saturday’s visitors are a point above the relegation zone in 20th place, having played a game more than the team below them.
The Buckinghamshire outfit are currently on a nine game winless streak in the League, stretching back to 3 December when Aylesbury beat Histon 2-1.
The Moles were last in action on 4 February, suffering a narrow 0-1 Home defeat to 13th placed Kidlington.
Speaking to Bucks Herald this week, Player-Manager, Davis Haule said: “We want to secure ourselves this season. That’s why I’ve brought in some experienced players to get us through the season.
“I’ve tried to plan ahead and I’ve spoken to a few players about next season. For me, it’s about getting the right group of players who all have the same end goal. Obviously they want to win but they’ve also got to do the right things outside of football. That’s important.
“Some of the clubs you get people with different agendas – some people want to play for fun, some people want money, some people want to win things and some want to go professional. When you get that, it’s difficult to all push in the right direction. We want everyone to have the same goal.”
Aylesbury last time out (vs Kidlington): James Weatherill (gk), Joseph Fitzgerald, Azeez Alabi, Jordan Jenkins, Ben Stevens, Marvyn Watson, Ty Deacon, Davis Haule, Brian Haule, Alex O’Brien, Aston Goss; Bradley Quamina, Ashley Jenkins, Romaine Walker, Frankie Baigent and Daniel McAteer.
