Midfielder Scott Donnelly urges Farnborough supporters to “Come and support us as best as you can” ahead of Monday’s Play-Off Final.

Speaking after Farnborough defeated Egham Town 4-0 in Wednesday’s Play-Off Semi-Final, Donnelly said: “Good team performance. Everyone put a great shift in and [we’re] well deserved winners. Scrappy first 10 but then we got a foothold in the game and I think we dominated the next 80 minutes.”

On his goal…

“It just came out to me, set up nicely when I’ve taken a touch and I thought ‘3-0 up I might give it a go’ and luckily its gone in the bottom corner off the post so it was a nice moment.”

On receiving the Man of the Match award…

“I enjoyed the game. It was all about winning the same will be Monday and if we play like that I don’t think there’s any teams in this Division that will be able to live with us.

“We played with so much desire there tonight, everybody put a great shift in so same again Monday and hopefully there will be more celebrations.”

On tackling third placed finishers, Barton Rovers in Monday’s Final…

“We played them recently – beat them 1-0. Obviously the pitch up there wasn’t the easiest to play on, it was quite hard but obviously it’s the same for both teams so they’re going to come here and probably enjoy the surface as much as what we did and it should be a good game.

“Hopefully we can get as many fans in as we did today, maybe a few more and put on a performance like that then there should only be one outcome.

“Come and support us as best as you can. Bank Holiday Monday so hopefully we can put a performance in like that and get Farnborough back into the Ryman or the Southern.”
