The Club are delighted to announce that striker, Jamie Cureton will stay for a further month, while Lewis Hayden and Callum Overton join.

Manager, Spencer Day explained: “We are delighted that Jamie Cureton has extended his stay for another month up to and including 8th October.

“Jamie has fitted in really well both on and off the pitch and has said how much he is enjoying it here. He’s still assessing his options going forward looking for a Football League Club but in the meantime we are both benefiting having him here.

“Of course this affects the budget and I’ve let Jack Battie go out to Guildford City for a month.

“Ideally I would like to keep him here and keep my squad as strong as possible but I need to balance the budget and vitally Jack needs games to get back to the form he showed at the end of last season and fight for a starting spot.

“He’s very much part of my plans and I hope the time he has at Guildford will be productive for us all.

“With Eddie Smith suspended for what will be two or three weeks depending on possible FA Cup Replays it means we have two off the budget to cover Jamie.

“I can announce we have also signed two lads with League pedigree in Lewis Hayden, a defensive midfielder previously with Oxford United as Youth Team Captain and Callum Overton, a striker/winger who was with Brighton & Hove Albion and AFC Wimbledon.

“Both have approached us with a view to just playing and it a further testament to the way we are going that quality players are willing to come to the Club for nothing in order to fight for a chance to get into the team.

“Both trained this week and will go into the squad this weekend.”
