Double delight in Thame

Five minutes later, a Ciardini free-kick was held by Oualah after Oli was fouled by Bewley.
A Farnborough move saw Ciardini cut inside from the left, evade the sliding challenge of Stanbridge and his poked effort was blocked and then cleared off the line by Bewley.
Treacher won back possession from a cleared Farnborough corner and tried his luck from distance but his left-footed shot was comfortably wide.
After an Onovwigan shot was deflected behind, Ciardini’s resulting corner was met by the head of Huggins whose header bounced off the top of the Aylesbury United crossbar.
Aylesbury United’s Williams was lucky to escape a booking after tripping Oli on the left after the Farnborough forward went on a good run.
Ciardini’s resulting free-kick was cleared as far as Emmerson whose header from outside the box found Pearce who struck the post with his right-foot. Coles picked up the rebound on the left and layed the ball off to Ciardini whose cross tricked across the goal to Emmerson whose left-footed shot cannoned off the other post and out for a goal-kick.
A good spell of possession saw Farnborough work a move from the left which saw Ciardini lay the ball off to Oli and his first-time half-volley was held by Oualah.
Onovwigan won a header inside the Aylesbury United half which was flicked on by Wood towards his own goal and Coles, while behind forced wide, lofted a right-footed shot wide.
Farnborough finally broke the deadlock on 41 minutes through a trademark Josh Huggins header from Ciardini’s inswinging corner. Aylesbury United 0-1 Farnborough.

In the early stages of the Second Half, Farnborough had a Penalty appeal turned down as Huggins strike from a free-kick from the left seemed to be blocked by the hand of Miller.
At the other end, Mitford got in behind the Farnborough defence but with Huggins and co racing back the Aylesbury United striker fired wide.
Oyenuga was booked for a mis-timed tackle on his man while halting an Aylesbury United counter-attack from a Farnborough corner.
Following a great adventurous run and cross from Oyenuga down the right, Aylesbury United tried to play out of defence but Barton robbed his man and put a low strike just past the post from outside the box.
A low Treacher cross from the left was missed by Oualah but there wasn’t a Farnborough player there to take advantage and Kinnane knocked the ball away.
Sam Shaban replaced Perry Coles up-front for Farnborough on 70 minutes.
Aylesbury United substitute, French was allowed time and space to drive forwards inside the Farnborough half and picked out Mitford who turned away from Pearce but Huggins did enough with his sliding-tackle to take the ball away from the lively striker.
Oualah came out of his goal to make a clearance and the ball fell to Ciardini who tried his luck from near the centre-circle but his ambitious attempt fell comfortably wide.
Boro’ put the game beyond doubt on 80 minutes as Dennis Oli latched on to a great through ball, accelerated away from two Aylesbury United defenders and finished into the far corner past Oualah. Aylesbury United 0-2 Farnborough.
Shaban set the ball to Oyenuga who drove down the right and his cross was palmed away by Oualah and Wood make a good block to deny Ciardini with the rebound.
From an out-swinging Ciardini corner, Huggins had a shot charged down and out for a corner.
Ciardini’s resulting corner looked to be controlled by the hand of Bewley at the near post but to the bewilderment of the five Farnborough players attempting to attack the ball, the Officials said no Penalty and instead awarded another corner.
Aylesbury United finished the game with a spell of possession inside their own half as the Referee’s full-time whistle signaled a 14th League win of the Season for Farnborough.
