This Saturday, Farnborough look to extend their Emirates FA Cup run at The Webb’s Wood Stadium against Swindon Supermarine.

Farnborough

Spencer Day’s side will be keen to keep the FA Cup dream alive with victory over their Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West opponents at the weekend.

The Yellows are currently on a seven game winning streak in all competitions, scoring a whopping total of 30 goals in the process.

Farnborough lead the way at the top of the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central and are currently two points clear of second place, Kempston Rovers.

New striker, Callum Overton made his Boro’ debut from the bench in last Saturday’s 4-0 thrashing of Beaconsfield SYCOB in the League.

Two goals in each half, scored by Josh Huggins and Dennis Oli, followed by a Jamie Cureton brace saw Farnborough record their sixth League win of the Season last time out.

Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Wiltshire, Manager Spencer Day told GetHampshire: “We’ve done some digging on them and they’re a good side.

“We’re desperate for a Cup run this year so it’s important we prepare well and build on our momentum.”

Speaking to Non League Daily on Saturday’s tie, Midfielder Nic Ciardini said: “It’s early we know that, but every non-league club in the competition will be thinking about it.

“We are no different, we want to get there but there is a long way to go yet. Swindon Supermarine will be thinking it, we are thinking it.

“It is every players’ dream to have a good FA Cup run, hopefully we can do that this year.

“It’s probably a bit boring to say it but we are taking it one game at a time and we are only focusing on the next round. Then will see what happens.”

Farnborough last time out (vs Beaconsfield SYCOB): Joel Driscoll (gk), Josh Huggins, Keith Emmerson, CJ Fearn (Capt), Curtis Osano, Terrell Forbes, John Oyenuga, Jack Barton, Dennis Oli, Jamie Cureton, Nic Ciardini, Habib Cissoko, Sam Shaban, Jamal Batchilly, Callum Overton and Lewis Hayden.

Swindon Supermarine

Swindon Supermarine ply their trade in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division South & West and are currently 4th.

The Marine have 14 points from 7 games in the League so far this Season.

Dave Webbs’ side disposed of Odd Down AFC (5-1) and Portishead Town (4-1) in previous Rounds to make it to the Second Round Qualifying of The Emirates FA Cup.

In the week, a Josh Parsons hat-trick and a Joe Selman goal helped Swindon Supermarine to a 4-0 Home win over Shortwood United in the League.

Swindon Supermarine will be without striker, Dan Martin who misses out with a hamstring injury.

Speaking to Swindon Advertiser in the build up to this weekends game, Marine Manager, Dave Webb said: “We are all looking forward to it, we had a good performance and a good win on Tuesday against Shortwood United.

“The players have been superb, we deserve this chance to progress and we are playing a good side in Farnborough.

“Looking at their (Farnborough’s) squad they have some excellent players and are top of their league, looking to go through the levels.

“We are fully aware of what they pose, but we are looking forward to it we’ve won two games and we are desperate to make it three. We know we’ll have to be at our best to beat them, but we couldn’t go into the game on better form.”

Swindon Supermarine last time out (vs Shortwood United): Connor Johns (gk), Jack Alexander, Ryan Morgan, Brad Hooper, Zak, Westlake, Ash Taylor, Joe Selman, Sam Morris, Josh Parsons, Connor Waldon, Callum Parsons, Connor Thompson, Joe Shepherd, Ryan O’Hara, Tyron Leigh and Ryan Wood.
