At the third attempt of asking, Farnborough finally kick off 2016 with a trip to Mill Field to take on Grays Athletic.

Farnborough remain in 21st place in the Ryman League Premier Division, with 23 points from 26 games.

Last time out in the Ryman League Premier Division, the Yellows suffered their 17th League defeat of the Season, loosing 0-2 away to Staines Town in their last game of 2014.

Most recently, a youthful Farnborough side led by First Team Coach Marc Wardley, were knocked out of the Aldershot Senior Cup, loosing heavily 0-7 away to local rivals Camberley Town.

After watching the game from the sidelines, Manager Spencer Day told GetHampshire: “It was a good opportunity for us to look at a number of Academy youngsters without risk and and I’m not apologising for that.

“Yes, it was men against boys but it is good experience for them to realise what level they have to achieve.”

Grays Athletic, are managed by Mark Bentley and currently sit in 14th place in the Ryman League Premier Division, with 39 points from 25 games.

Last time Grays Athletic were in action, Mark Bentley’s side drew 2-2 away to Merstham, with top scorer Bradley Formain-Thomlinson bagging his 14th goal of the Season.

The hosts also have former Farnborough winger Roman Michael-Percil in their squad.
