This Tuesday evening, Farnborough look to get back to winning ways with the visit of Petersfield Town in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central.

Farnborough occupy second place in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central on goal difference, despite falling to a narrow defeat last time out.

Spencer Day’s side couldn’t continue their impressive November form as The Yellows went down 1-2 Away to Bedford Town, with top-scorer Perry Coles grabbing a 90th minute consolation goal.

Last time Boro’ were in action at The Rushmoor Community Stadium, Farnborough kept up their unbeaten Home record in the League with a 3-0 victory over Kidlington.

Speaking after the weekends game, Manager, Spencer Day said: “We are certainly glad to be playing again so quickly after Saturday’s defeat away at Bedford Town.

“There is certainly no panic as it was our first defeat for some time and we sit second in the Table but we need to improve certain elements in our game and tonight is an opportunity to get back to winning ways.

On the visit of Petersfield Town, Day added: “Tuesday’s opponents are struggling towards the bottom of the Table however we certainly won’t be taking them lightly after what happened in the first week of the Season where we came unstuck albeit on the worst pitch I’ve seen in competitive football in 16 years of management.

“They worked incredibly hard that night and deserved the three points so we know we will have to be much improved to reverse that result.

“So please get behind the team as we try and get back to winning ways against determined opposition.”
