It’s 2nd vs 3rd in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central this Saturday as Farnborough host Kempston Rovers at The Rushmoor Community Stadium.

Farnborough dropped to third in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central having failed to take maximum points from any of their past three League games.

Boro’ remain on 23 points from 11 games, having squandered a two-goal lead to go on to lose 2-3 at Aylesbury last weekend.

In a mid-week Friendly at Cove, Farnborough ran out 3-1 winners courtesy of goals from Nic Ciardini, Perry Coles and Sam Shaban.

Manager, Spencer Day added to his squad following the departure of Terrell Forbes with Sam Pearce (loan), Charlie Allen and Ollie Treacher all making a welcome return to the Club.

This weekend the Yellows can welcome back goalkeeper, Aaron Bufton and defender, Curtis Osano after both served respective one match suspensions.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s crucial clash, Boro’ boss, Spencer Day said: “There is no doubt this is a challenging part of the Season for us on the pitch.

“After a fantastic start to the Season where we were so tight at the back and free scoring upfront we had a serious blip in form combined with a terrible injury list and unavailabilities.

“We have a great dressing room that is determined to turn the last few weeks around and there is no bigger challenge than facing today’s opponents who rightly sit at the top of the table amongst

“We had a great start but now a serious blip and it’s time to get back to winning ways. Saturday is probably our most serious test yet so please get behind us and we can get the vital three points.”

Farnborough last time out (vs Cove): Aaron Bufton (gk), John Oyenuga, Ollie Treacher, CJ Fearn (Capt), Ethan Allen, Sam Pearce, Josh Huggins, Charlie Allen, Perry Coles, Dennis Oli, Nic Ciardini, Sam Shaban, Jack Barton, Jamal Batchilly, Jordan Goater and Jack Battie.
