Farnborough are unbeaten in five, having taken 10 points from March and winning a crucial six pointer at Needham Market last weekend.
A goal in each half from Oliver Bailey – who was making his full Boro’ debut – and Jack Smith’s second in as many games, saw Farnborough take a vital three points from their relegation rivals.
Despite victory last Saturday, Farnborough trail 20th placed Needham Market by four points in the League Table, with two games in hand.
Hampton & Richmond Borough won the earlier meeting 3-1 back in January, in a game which saw Freddie Grant score his first Farnborough goal.
This week, Manager Spencer Day told GetHampshire: “I think we’ll need seven points to be sure, but if we’re going to do this then it’ll have to be done the ‘Farnborough way’ because there’s been some significant twists since Saturday.
“What it does leave us down to the bare bones against a Hampton side who are very nearly full of champions. They will come here full of confidence but, then again, so are we right now!”
Speaking about last Saturday’s 2-0 Away victory, Day said: “It wasn’t pretty at all, a typical nervy six-pointer played on a terrible pitch.
“But the most important thing was we dug in and thanks to scoring at key times at the start of both halves, we got the job done.”
Farnborough last time out (vs Needham Market): Aaron Bufton (gk), John Oyenuga, Freddie Grant, CJ Fearn (Capt), Jack Smith, Terrell Forbes, Jack Battie, Charlie Allen, Dennis Oli, Oliver Bailey, Merrick James-Lewis, Matt Ball, Trevor Mutero, Jack Barton, Nathan Kerr and Melvin Minter (gk).
Farnborough have won three consecutive games on the road
The Ryman League Premier Division’s current League leaders, Hampton & Richmond Borough are currently four points clear of second placed East Thurrock United with just three games remaining of their Season.
In 43 League games this Season, The Beavers have scored an impressive 99 goals so far this Season.
Manager, Alan Dowson can welcome back Captain, Kieran Murphy who returns from suspension, with Jerome Federico also likely to make the squad.
The Beavers were in action last Saturday, beating Brentwood Town 5-1 at The Beveree Stadium, with Leon Solomon, Jamal Lowe, Brendan Kiernan, Tom Beere and Charlie Moone netting the goals.
Hampton & Richmond Borough’s top scorer is Nicke Kabamba who currently has 18 goals to his name.
Speaking to Richmond & Twickenham Times this week, Alan Dowson said: “There are a few nerves around the club, but if you cannot enjoy it, you might as well jack it in.
“Managers talk a lot of rubbish about not thinking about being top. But for me, I want to be at the top of the league, and with three games to go that is where we are. It’s all I have thought about.”
Dowson stated: “We have the belief in the camp that we can do it, but Farnborough will be a tough game.
“They have splashed some cash. They have changed the team completely and brought in some experienced players.
“But it’s in our hands. We’ll just play our attacking football and what will be will be.”
Hampton & Richmond Borough last time out (vs Brentwood Town): Mark Smith (gk), Tom Jelley, Josh Casey, Joe Hicks, Moussa Diarra, Leon Solomon, Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick, Tom Beere, Nicke Kabamba, Brendan Kiernan, Jamal Lowe, Dean Sinclair, Eddie Hutchinson, Michael Kamara, Charlie Moone and Martin Brennan (gk).
