Holloways Park is the venue this weekend as Farnborough return to League action against Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Spencer Day’s table toppers are currently on a six game winning streak in all competitions and have scored 26 goals throughout those games.

Last weekend, Farnborough enjoyed a comfortable 5-0 victory Away to Andover Town in The Emirates FA Cup First Round Qualifying.

Two trademark Nic Ciardini free-kicks gave Boro’ the lead at the break before further goals from Josh Huggins, John Oyenuga and Habib Cissoko put the game out of reach for the hosts.

It was almost a fortnight ago when Farnborough last played in the League when Jamie Cureton struck a last-gasp winner which saw 10 men Boro’ defeat neighbours, Fleet Town 4-3 on Home soil last month.

During the week it was confirmed that striker, Jamie Cureton has extended his stay for a further month, with midfielder, Lewis Hayden and striker, Callum Overton joining the Club.

Meanwhile, Jack Battie has joined Guildford City on loan for a month and Eddie Smith will begin the first of his three-match suspension this weekend.

Speaking to Non League Daily after Saturday’s FA Cup win, midfielder Nic Ciardini paid tribute to his side: “We were good on Saturday, very good actually.

“We could have had another two or three goals but we will take what we got. We went in as favourites, just as we did against Longlevens, and just as we have in most games this season.

“We are used to it and we are comfortable with it now. We are pulling together and we are playing some good stuff.

“Long may that continue in the League and the Cup.”

Farnborough last time out (vs Andover Town): Joel Driscoll (gk), Josh Huggins, Keith Emmerson, CJ Fearn (Capt), Curtis Osano, Terrell Forbes, John Oyenuga, Jack Barton, Jamie Cureton, Dennis Oli, Nic Ciardini, Jack Battie, Habib Cissoko, Sam Shaban, Jamal Batchilly and Jordan Goater.

John Oyenuga bagged his second goal of the Season in last Saturday’s win

Beaconsfield SYCOB

Beaconsfield SYCOB currently occupy 16th place in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central, with 5 points from 6 games.

Led by joint Managers, Andy Hurley and Leigh Wooldridge, Beaconsfield SYCOB have won 1, drawn 2 and lost 3 so far in the League.

The Rams have recently welcomed back striker, Ollie Jones (from Egham Town) and midfielder, Tristan Campbell (from Godalming Town).

Beaconsfield SYCOB progressed in an FA Cup Replay on Monday evening with an emphatic 6-1 Home victory over Wantage Town. The initial game last weekend ended in a 1-1 draw.

Goals from Ollie McCoy (2), Nathan Minhas (2), Guir Demuira and Charlie Losasso sent Beaconsfield SYCOB into the Second Round Qualifying.

Speaking to www.getbucks.co.uk, Joint-Manager, Andy Hurley said: “A lot of the other teams play kick and rush football, and it doesn’t suit our lads, who like to get the ball down and play.

“I can understand why other teams play the way they do as they are desperate to get results, but we’re set up to promote playing football the right way and bring young players through. Sometimes the results will go against us, but we will always play the right way.”

Hurley added: “Farnborough will be tough, but AFC Rushden & Diamonds came to us with the biggest budget in the league season, and we beat them 4-0.”

Beaconsfield SYCOB last time out (vs Wantage Town): Jake Soutter (gk), Harrison Mepham, Matthew Peake-Pijnen, Aaron Minhas (Capt), Callum Mapley, Guri Demuria, Ryan Hill, Charlie Losasso, Nathan Minhas, Spencer Maw, Oliver McCoy, Josh Dillon, Josh Gibbens, Marcos Ushiro-Lumb and Ryan Haugh.
