Farnborough overcame their Ryman Premier hosts, Hendon 2-1 in the Final to pick up the first Silverware of the Season.

Boro’s Sunday squad included five of Marc Wardley’s Academy players in Jordan Goater, Jamal Batchilly, Jack Hellewell, Ethan Allen and Aiden White, as well as last Seasons Academy products, Harry Knight and Ryan Zidyana.

The Yellows didn’t get off to the best of starts in the Final, going behind to a fifth minute goal from Hendon striker, Niko Muir.

However, two goals in as many minutes from Fans favourite, Nic Ciardini completed a quick turnaround as Boro’ led for the first time in the game.

And that’s how it remained as Farnborough saw out the Second half to win the Hendon Invitation Cup 2016!

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Carshalton Athletic beat Slough Town 3-2 in the 3rd and 4th place game.

All the results from the weekend are as follows:

Saturday 23 July

Semi-Final: Farnborough* 0-0 Slough Town (*Farnborough won 4-2 on Penalties)

Sunday 24 July
