In search of a crucial three points, this weekend Farnborough make the short journey to take on 14th placed Sutton United in the Vanarama Conference South.

Farnborough head into the Saturday’s Vanarama Conference South clash at Gander Green Lane in 20th place with 23 points from 23 games, although they do have three games in hand on 19th placed Bishop’s Stortford.

Last time out, Farnborough were knocked out of the FA Trophy in the 3rd Round Proper by North Ferriby United but will be looking to respond with three points at the weekend.

Defender Darryl Siaw returns from his one-match suspension and will be available for selection.

The Club can also confirm that defender Simon Cox has joined Southern League Division One Central side Egham Town on dual registration.

Speaking ahead of his sides trip to Gander Green Lane, Manager Spencer Day told GetHampshire: “It couldn’t get any tougher, could it?

“The league table would suggest we’d get beaten by all three, but we played well on Saturday without any reward and we’ll go to Sutton on Saturday with a positive attitude and we’ll see what happens.

“If we play like we did in chunks on Saturday we have a chance.”

Managed by Paul Doswell, Sutton United head into Saturday’s clash in 14th place and on the back of a 2-1 Vanarama Conference South victory at Hemel Hempstead Town in midweek.

The U’s controversially scraped a 1-0 win the last meeting between the two sides at Paddy Power Park back in October. But the last time Farnborough travelled to Gander Green Lane the two sides played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
