This Saturday (18 July), Farnborough make the short journey to Bottom Meadow to take on Sandhurst Town in a Pre-Season Friendly, kick off 3pm.

Farnborough visit Bottom Meadow for the second consecutive Pre-Season for a Friendly against Combined Counties Division One side Sandhurst Town.

Farnborough Camp

Exactly a week after Farnborough kicked off Pre-Season against Slough Town, Spencer Day’s side step-up their preparations for the 2015-2016 Isthmian Premier League season; making the short trip to Combined Counties Division One neighbours Sandhurst Town.

A number of trialists are expect to line-up again this weekend, all looking to impress to earn a deal at Cherrywood Road.

Speaking to GetHampshire after last Saturday’s first Pre-Season Friendly, Manager Spencer Day said: “We’re going through triallists thick and fast but it’s all we can do at the moment.

“We’ve got five or six players who want to play for Farnborough but they don’t want to commit because they don’t know what level we are playing at next season. I don’t blame them to be honest.

“The club is where it is. It has historic issues to deal with and until they are resolved this is how it has to be.

“It’s hard to take, yes, but we’ll be okay by August 8, you’ll see. It may be late preparation but that’s the Farnborough way it seems. All I can do is ask fans to be patient and stick together and we’ll come out the other side.”
