Farnborough Camp

Farnborough will be looking for revenge on Saturday as they face Wingate & Finchley in Ryman League Premier Division for the second time in a week.

Spencer Day’s side lost 3-4 at The Harry Abraham’s Stadium last Saturday, despite taking the lead twice in the First Half through Tommy Wright.

On Monday evening, the Yellows narrowly went down 1-2 at Kingstonian, with Reading loanee, Bogdan Vastsuk netting an impressive 90th minute consolation, but that couldn’t prevent Farnborough from exiting the Ryman League Cup at the 3rd Round.

Three points for Farnborough at the weekend could lift them one place to 21st, Speaking to GetHampshire after last weekends 3-4 defeat, Manager Spencer said: “We were very good going forward but it was a lesson to our young players that they can’t step off it.

“They were ruthless for ten minutes and the game was gone. They were one of the best sides we’ve played this season and it was no disgrace. But it is a harsh reminder that we have to work hard for the whole 90 minutes.”
