Farnborough welcome bottom of the League VCD Athletic to The Rushmoor Community Stadium in a crucial Ryman League Premier Division fixture, kick off at is at 3pm.

Farnborough Camp

Spencer Day’s side head into Saturday’s six-pointer in 22nd place, still with just six points from 11 games.

A hat-trick from Harry Williams and a goal from Keith Emmerson eased Farnborough into the 3rd Round of the Ryman League Cup on Monday evening, in a 4-0 Home victory.

Speaking to GetHampshire after Monday’s Ryman League Cup victory, Manager Spencer Day said: “They [Three Bridges] have visions of the play-offs this year and are only seven places below us in the league system.

“It was an excellent performance, and if we’d have won by seven or eight no-one would have complained, we missed so many chances.

“What delighted me the most was that apart from one worldy shot, we haven’t given them a sniff. A first clean sheet breeds confidence but, I keep saying it, we haven’t been too far away.

“We played some great football tonight and it sets us up for what is a massive game on Saturday – our biggest of the season, for sure.”

Farnborough (vs Three Bridges): Joe Tupper (gk), Freddie Grant, Chinua Cole, Perry Ryan, Gary MacDonald, CJ Fearn (Capt), Keith Emmerson, Glen Southam, Tommy Wright, Harry Williams, Harry Grant, Nicholas Brown, Jack Barton, Dean Joseph-Whittingham and Shaun Sims.

Opposition Camp

Opponents VCD Athletic, who are managed by Keith McMahon, are currently rooted to the foot of the table with 5 points from 15 games.

The The Vickers’s haven’t won a League game so far this Season and have lost 10 and drawn 5.

On Tuesday evening, VCD Athletic were narrowly beaten 0-1 at Home to 3rd place Canvey Island. Striker Lhereux Menga joined The Vickers shortly after leaving Farnborough and the 29 year old is expected to return to Cherrywood Road at the weekend.

A win for Keith McMahon’s side would lift his team off bottom spot in the League Table.
