Opposition Camp

Local rivals Staines Town, who were relegated from the Conference South along with Farnborough last Season, head into Monday evening’s game in 18th place.

Last time out, The Swans conceded seven at Brentwood Town with no reply.

After the game, Manager Nicky Forster told GetSurrey: “The fans shouldn’t have had to travel that far and witness that, it was wholly unacceptable from the players.

“I never thought we would be rolled over again by a score like that. Last season a similar thing happened against Bromley [6-0] but they were top of the league and we were bottom.

“I can only hope it was an unacceptable blip. The two games we had lost before this were by the odd goal.

“I can honestly say that not a single player played well. The marking, the picking up of runners, the passing, were all shocking and this was against a side who weren’t exactly excellent. We just allowed them to be. In fact in the first 10 minutes I thought they were there for the taking if we could get ourselves right. But it never happened.

“There are going to be a lot of questions asked of us after this. Thank goodness we have got a game on Monday night (Farnborough) to try and correct what went wrong.

“I told the players afterwards there are fine lines in football. We were 1-0 up in the last game and lost in the last four minutes when, had we won, we would have gone sixth.

“Now we have been humiliated. We had a long chat with the players afterwards and they were all in agreement it was unacceptable. We can only put it down to a blip.”

Staines Town from: Jack Turner (gk), Erivaldo Felix, Jack Bennett, Jeremy Boakye, Mitchal Gough, Joe O’Cearuill (Capt), Luke Wanadio, Ashley Lodge, Pat Cox, Aaron Okuleye, Michael Kalu, Jack Hutchinson, Harry Churchill (gk), Ahmed Abdulla, Prince M’Bengui and Callum McAllister.
