Farnborough make the journey to Chelmsford City on Saturday for their first game of 2015 in the Vanarama Conference South.

Farnborough head into the Saturday’s Vanarama Conference South clash in 18th place with 23 points from 21 games.

Spencer Day’s side significantly defeated play-off side Whitehawk 2-0 last time out and will be looking for more of the same from his side

Defender Ollie Treacher serves the final game of his three match ban on Saturday, although Farnborough will have available the services of young defenders Matt Jones and Josue Antonio.

Speaking after last Sunday’s 2-0 win at home to Whitehawk, Farnborough boss Spencer Day told GetHampshire: “We laugh about it [Farnborough’s record in Essex] but it’s really got to end.

“I’ve been beaten five, six and seven there, yet to score and yet to really give them a game to be honest.

“If I had the choice I wouldn’t go there in regular season, it’s haunting for me, but we’ve got to go there and put it right and if we show character similar to the Whitehawk game, then we are more than capable.”
