Spencer Day’s 10 men Farnborough side earned an FA Trophy Replay which is to take place at Paddy Power Park this Monday, after a battling 2-2 draw with Maidenhead United at York Road on Saturday.
Striker Louie Theophanous gave Farnborough an early lead, before the visitors had defender Darryl Siaw harshly sent off for receiving two yellow cards.
Farnborough held their lead up until the 74th minute where substitute Reece Tison-Lascaris drew his side level, before another Magpies substitute, Dave Tarpey, gave the hosts the lead for the first time in the game five minutes from time.
But Farnborough showed fantastic character and got their reward as defender Adam Brice smashed home from a Maidenhead corner just minutes before full time to earn his side a Replay. A full Match Report is to follow.
The Draw for the next round of the competition, which both Farnborough and Maidenhead United will be involved in, will be made this Monday lunchtime and announced on social media when known.
Please note that our re-arranged Vanarama Conference South fixture away to Bath City, which was scheduled for this Tuesday, has been postponed due to Farnborough’s continued involvement in the FA Trophy. A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.
