Tonbridge Angels vs Farnborough – Betting Preview: Fearless Farnborough a big price to keep Tonbridge at bay
After suffering seven losses from eight games, Monday night’s 2-1 victory against Bognor Regis Town will have tasted very sweet for Yellows fans, who will be looking for their team to kick on in the next fixture.
Rather ominously, however, Spencer Day’s side travel to a third place Tonbridge Angels outfit who have won seven of their eleven opening league games. Farnborough are considered huge underdogs at 12/1 to gain all three points.
Odds of 3/1 are available on a draw in the fixture, and this looks a more viable proposition as there are plenty of statistics which suggest Farnborough can earn a point on their trip to the Longmead Stadium.
After a very dominant start to their home campaign The Angels have won just one of the last three contests in front of their own supporters, including a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Leiston and a 1-1 stalemate against Folkestone Invicta.
Farnborough have also proved they can mix it with the big boys in 2015, recording a draw at Kingstonian, and Monday’s victory against Bognor Regis, which shows they hold no fear against top half opposition.
Spencer Day has stayed loyal to his attacking tactics throughout the campaign, with his side bagging eleven goals in just six games so far. With in-form striker Bobbie Dale leading the sides attack, it is unlikely Farnborough will play cautiously against Tonbridge.
A 2-2 draw looks a great bet at 10/1, whilst a 3-3 draw at 50/1 is also worth a small punt considering the nature of this fixture. If you like long odds bets like this then take a look at Fruity Reels where there are a range of online fruit machine games offering large jackpots.
