Farnborough are delighted to announce loan signings of Jon Nurse and George Sykes on an initial 29 day loan period from Barnet.

Nurse, 32, is an experienced forward who has played a considerable amount of league games as well as representing his native Barbados at international level, earning 6 caps. Nurse spent five seasons at Dagenham & Redbridge, totalling 179 appearances and 27 goals, most notably scoring the winning goal in the League Two play-off final as The Daggers secured promotion to League One in May 2010.

The 19-year-old Skyes, is a highly rated forward at Barnet and had a successful loan at Bishop’s Stortford earlier in the season, scoring twice from 11 appearances for the Hertfordshire club.

Also set to sign, is Matt Ball (20) on an initial 29 day loan from Stevenage. Ball, a goalscoring midfielder, spent 6 months on loan at Boreham Wood this season, making 29 appearances and scoring 5 tines. In his second spell at the club, Ball will best be remembered by ‘Boro supporters for scoring the winning goal at Eastbourne Borough during a short loan spell at the club last season.

We are grateful to the parent clubs for letting us have these subsidised players and welcome all three players to club.

All three are eligible for tomorrow’s home match against Dorchester Town, which we are hopeful will go ahead as planned.
