Farnborough make the trip to Maidenhead United tonight (Tuesday evening) looking to get Saturday’s defeat out of their system as quick as possible.

Farnborough were thumped 5-0 at home to Havant & Waterlooville last time out but will be determined to make up for that result with a win over The Magpies. Last season, Boro’ came back from 2-0 down to claim a point in a 2-2 draw at York Road, and Boro’ ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in the return fixture at Paddy Power Park courtesy of some well taken second half goals.

Farnborough’s form on the road is currently slightly better than their home form as they have drawn one and won one, to Boro’s one home win so far. A win tonight would take Boro’ onto 10 points and could see them rise to 14th place, on goal difference.

Forward Phil Page returned to action on Saturday, making his fifth start of the season

Maidenhead United are managed by Johnson Hippolyte and his side finished 18th in the Conference South last season. The Magpies strengthened on and off the pitch in the summer; on the pitch, Simon Downer, Ashley Nicholls and ex Farnborough forward Dave Tarpey were just three of a number of impressive summer signings for Johnson Hippolyte; off the pitch, numerous ground improvements at York Road include a brand new seated stand opposite the dugouts.
