Sutton United are the visitors to Paddy Power Park this Saturday in the Vanarama Conference South as Farnborough look to end a four game winless streak.

Spencer Day’s Farnborough side have failed to pick up a point from their last two home league games but will be back this Saturday trying to change that against a Sutton United side who have lost their last three competitive games.

Speaking after last Saturday’s narrow 1-0 home defeat to Bishop’s Stortford, Farnborough Manager Spencer Day told News & Mail, “Losing that game was a real low point for me personally. The players gave it everything but it’s just not happening for us at the moment.

“We’ve totally dominated the game but again we’ve just not done enough to win it. I cannot fault the squad, we’ll just be asking them to go again and respond on Saturday. We are not far away, we’ve just got to find the right combination and it will come.”

Boro’ will have former Sutton forward Jamie Slabber, who is currently on loan from Bromley, in their squad tomorrow. 29 year-old Slabber scored 13 goals in 24 appearances for the U’s in the 2013/14 season.

Farnborough from: Grant Smith (gk), Ashley West (gk), Matt Bevans, Lewis Ferrell, Darryl Siaw, Adam Brice, Ollie Treacher, Matt Ball, Courtney Fearn, Josh Webb, Mario Quiassaca, Sylvestre Guyonnet, Dan Pearse, Phil Page, Dann Bennett, Fejiri Okenabirhie, Jamie Slabber and Alfie May.

Recent signing Alfie May came so close to a debut goal last weekend

Paul Doswell’s 14th placed Sutton United side come into the game on the back of three consecutive defeats so will themselves be determined to come away from Cherrwood Road with three points to push the U’s up the table.

Sutton United also this week added experienced defender Shaun Cooper to their squad. Some of the 31 year-old’s previous clubs include Torquay United, Portsmouth, Crawley Town and AFC Bournemouth.

Sutton Manager Paul Doswell said, ”Shaun’s someone I’ve known for a long time and have watched on many occasions, and he’s recently moved back to the south for family reasons. He watched the game against Burgess Hill, but even after that he’s agreed to join and I’m delighted. I’ve been after an experienced centre back to play alongside Charlie Clough, and with Louis John likely to be out for eight weeks with a meniscus tear it’s a timely signing.”

An appeal for midfielder Michael Spillane’s red card in a recent game against Bath City, was this week accepted by an FA Regulatory Commission, which upheld the club’s claim of wrongful dismissal. Michael’s one match suspension has therefore been withdrawn and he is eligible to play in Saturday’s game at Farnborough.

Sutton United from: Alan Julian (gk), Kevin Amankwaah, Callum Hart, Michael Spillane, Charlie Clough, Ricky Wellard, Glen Southam, Craig Dundas, Nicholas Bignall, Dale Binns, Jack Evans, Jessy Reindorf, Bedsente Gomis, Kane Haysman, Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick, Shaun Cooper and Tom Lovelock (gk).
