Farnborough have a second chance to notch their first home points of the season when they take on St Albans City in the Vanarama Conference South at Paddy Power Park tomorrow (Saturday).

“It’s just not good enough and it now turns Saturday’s game into a huge game” bemoaned boss Day ahead of tomorrow’s Vanarama Conference South St Albans City test.

Farnborough were defeated 3-2 by Weston-Super-Mare last time out on Monday but this time out will be boosted with the attacking option of Declan McAvoy who has confirmed himself that he has received international clearance.

Forwards Joe Taylor and Phil Page scored Farnborough’s first two goals of the season on Monday so will be keen to add to their goalscoring records and kick on with three valuable points.

Tomorrow’s visitors St Albans City finished 4th in the Southern League Premier Division last season and were promoted to the Conference South via the play-offs. The Saints are currently managed by joint managers James Gray and Graham Golds.

The Saints started their season with a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Hayes & Yeading United last Saturday, but responded magnificently with a 3-2 victory at Staines Town on Tuesday.
