Farnborough continue their pre-season campaign at Paddy Power Park this Saturday with a visit from League Two side Oxford United.

Visitors Oxford United have recently appointed former Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers Manager Michael Appleton as First Team Manager at the Kassam Stadium. The U’s just missed out on the League Two play-offs by one place last season, finishing eighth but nine points off York City who filled the last play-off spot.

Ahead of the friendly, Farnborough Assistant Manager Leigh Dynan told www.farnboroughfc.co.uk that The U’s will prove a ‘difficult game’, adding, “Oxford this Saturday will be a very difficult game as they have just installed Michael Appleton as their new manager. I am sure all Oxford players will be looking to impress their new gaffer.”

‘Boro defender CJ Fearn added, “Oxford are a good team. It will be difficult but that is just what the team needs so that we are ready for August the 9th.”
