Press Release from the Owner, Rob Prince

On behalf of myself and everyone here at Farnborough Football Club I would like to wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a happy and successful New Year.

Your support throughout a difficult 2014 has been superb and despite massive restrictions the club has made many positive steps.

A fully certified stadium which has been further improved to produce vital income is now being utilised by the community projects led by Mark McGowan and is a credit to the club. The support from the many volunteers has yet again been the backbone of the club and my heartfelt thanks goes out to you all.

On the pitch we again face another tremendous battle as we stay within our means. Survival in this division is essential to attracting new investment and I believe there is no one more experienced in getting the most out of our limited budget than our current manager.

This year is our tightest budget yet as we receive no central funding from the Conference and no major sponsors so the way the playing management brought in more than double what they spent in new signings was testament to their acumen of keeping the club solvent.

The playing budget remains linked to attendances so we all need your support to help keep the team in the division. Of course there will be highs and lows but I have faith that the team in the dressing room will keep us up and the improvement in the last month or shows testament to that.

When I took this club out of Administration I made it clear it was a temporary move to keep the club alive and this is the case. Every avenue is being pursued to bring in new owners and/or investment at the earliest opportunity and all previous debts owed to shareholders will be written off in due course.

The club survives on the tightest of lines due to your support yet is actually in a very strong position due to its progress off the pitch in the last couple of years.

We are making good progress with the Administrator regarding the CVA and hope to have more news on that well before the July 2016 deadline and we paid a very significant sum into it during this last season in order to move forward.

So please stick with us as its your club and without you FFC would not exist. Thank you again for your support during this transitional period and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
