A victory over Weston-Super-Mare on Saturday night could see Spencer Day’s Farnborough just that step closer to securing Conference South football for the Club next season. (Skrill South League Fixture – Kick off 3pm)
Boro have seen back-to-back defeats from their last two fixtures; with a 2-0 defeat at home to Concord Rangers, followed by a narrow 1-0 loss at Gosport Borough most recently, so will be eager to get back to winning ways on the road.
Results over the past couple weeks have seen Boro open up an 8-point gap between themselves and twentieth placed Maidenhead United with just 18 points left to play for this season, meaning that if results go in their favour, Boro could be assured of Conference South safety very soon.
Ahead of the game, Spencer Day told gethampshire: “We need a few more points but it’s no time for panic. We’ve got a tough run of games to come and long hard trips to Weston, Dorchester and Bath to make.
“They [Weston] won’t be easy, of course, but I’m massively encouraged by what I saw at Gosport on Tuesday night.”
Boro will have the services of Alan Inns for the trip to Somerset, as the skipper’s three match ban does not kick in until the trip to Dorchester on 12 April.
At The Woodspring Stadium so far the season, Weston have played 18 and of those, won 9, drawn 3 and lost 6. Last time out Weston drew blank at Gosport Borough on Thursday evening and highlights of that game can be viewed by clicking here.
Farnborough comfortably ran out 4-0 winners in the reverse fixture earlier this season, but they face a much improved Weston side this time around.

Directions to The Woodspring Stadium
By Car: Whether you are coming from the North or South it is much easier to come off at Junction 21 of the M5 and then follow a path straight ahead on the new dual carriageway heading towards the town centre. Keep going straight across three roundabouts continuing to head towards the town centre. At the 4th roundabout you will see a McDonalds on your left and a big Asda on your right, as you approach the roundabout turn left then as you come to a mini roundabout carry on straight across (2nd exit). Carry on over the railway bridge and you will see the ground on your right hand side within a few hundred yards.
By Train: Weston-super-Mare station is about a 30 minute brisk walk from the ground. Come out of the station using the exit and platform opposite the main entrance. Walk along until you come to a busy roundabout (you should see Aldi on your left). Walk across the roundabout and head towards Halfords. Walk to the right of it following the road through the shopping area which includes Comet, Curry’s, and Pets at Home. Keep walking until you go past the Kentucky Fried Chicken drive through and see a roundabout beyond it, walk past that and up to a mini roundabout. Turn right on the mini roundabout and carry on walking over the railway bridge and the ground is on your right hand side.
No FaST Supporters Coach running to the game due to insufficient bookings.
