Spencer Day’s Farnborough side face a real test of their League safety credentials on Saturday afternoon when they travel to ProKit UK Stadium to face Bishop’s Stortford in the Skrill South. (Skrill South League Fixture – Kick off 7.45pm)

‘Boro Camp

Boro lie in 15th place in the Skrill South with 37 points going into the weekends game with 11th placed Bishop’s Stortford.

Unbeaten in their last two league games and eight points clear of 19th placed Maidenhead United going into the weekends fixture, means a victory on Saturday would certainly strengthen Spencer Day’s mens position with 10 games remaining.

A second League win in March could see Boro reclaim 14th place from Boreham Wood, and would also see Boro reach the 40 point mark for the season.

Opposition Camp

Bishop’s Stortford lie four places above Boro in 11thdespite having played four games less than their opponents. Currently ten points adrift of the play-off places with four games in hand, Bishop’s Stortford will be looking to continue their quest for promotion with a timely three points at home on Saturday.

Of their 12 home League games, Bishop’s Stortford have won 7; drawn 2 and lost 3. Winless in 5 in the League, Rod Stringer’s men come into Saturday’s game off the back of a heart-breaking 1-0 home defeat to Concord Rangers on Tuesday. The only goal of the game coming in the 90th miunte from one of The Beachboys top scorers this season in Tony Stokes. Although there has been a positive for the hosts this week as a Bishop’s Stortford side cruised into the final of the Hertfordshire Senior Cup on Thursday with a 3-0 home win over Hemel Hempstead Town.

One to watch: Cliff Akurang – 9 goals

This is the first encounter between the two sides this season, with the reverse fixture being played at Paddy Power Park on Tuesday 8th April.
