Farnborough Football Club are also pleased to announce the loan signing of left-sided defender Freddie Grant from Oxford United.

Manager Spencer Day has secured a work experience loan, which runs until the end of the season, for the Oxford United starlet, who is the younger brother of Farnborough midfielder Harry.

Freddie can also play for Oxford United’s Academy side during his time at Paddy Power Park.

The 17 year-old arrives from the Sky Bet League Two side after spending the last six weeks with Terry Brown at Ryman Premier League side Margate.

Freddie is primarily a left-sided defender or wide man and will be available for Saturday’s FA Trophy clash at Sholing.

After completing the deal, Manager Spencer Day told Jon Couch of Farnborough News & Mail: “Freddie is very talented young man who is highly rated at Oxford [United] and is really keen to come and play alongside Harry.

“He’s only 17, though, and it would be wrong to expect miracles off someone so young so we’ll manage him correctly and bed him in slowly.”

Freddie joins new signing from Bromley, Duncan Culley at Paddy Power Park – the updated squad list can be viewed here.
