Farnborough Football Club can confirm the signing of Aaron Dawson on a months loan from Sky Bet League Two side Exeter City.

Dawson featured in Farnborough’s 6-1 Friendly win at Horley Town on Wednesday evening.

A midfielder by trade, 22-year-old Dawson’s City career was really kicked into gear when his versatility was called upon to fill the right-back slot in 2012/13 when injuries left the Grecians short of options in defence.

The Exmouth-born man was a youth team player for City’s Academy and was offered a pro deal in 2010 after his two-year scholarship.

Spells on loan with Tiverton Town and Havant & Waterlooville helped him find his feet in open-age football before making his League debut for the Grecians away at Huddersfield Town in February 2012.

It was the first of two appearances in 2011/12, and he followed up with eight more the next season and a further five in 2013/14, where he also featured heavily in Exeter’s under-21 Premier League Cup campaign.

He has made three league and two cup appearances in the Exeter first-team to date this season.

Dawson will available for selection for tomorrow’s League fixture away to Ebbsfleet United so please come along and show your support! There are plenty of space still available on the FaST Coach to this game – more details here.
