‘Boro will navigate the M25 for the second time in five days on Saturday as they travel to Chelmsford City in the Skrill South.
The game has been brought forward from the original date in March, both clubs with a free weekend due to early exits form the FA Carlsberg Trophy.
‘Boro will be hoping for a happier visit to Essex after the trip to the County on Tuesday night where Concord Rangers consigned them to their heaviest defeat of the season, and speculation continues that Danny Cowley who masterminded that victory in the hosts dugout, may well be facing ‘Boro again, with noises coming from Chelmsford who have been under the stewardship of Caretaker Manager Kenny Brown since Dean Holdsworth’s departure, that a permanent appointment is imminent, and Cowley is being touted as one of the leading contenders.
The Clarets have endured a torrid time since their visit to Paddy Power Park last month saw them leave empty handed, Scott Donnelly and a Daniel Webb own goal seeing ‘Boro triumph 2-0 on the night, with a further five league defeats and conceding 20 and scoring just one, alongside the FA Trophy exit at the hands of St Albans City.
‘Boro though have their own problems, skipper Alan Inns may be a doubt following his withdrawl on Tuesday night with a rib injury, although Adam Doyle returns from suspension.
