A brace from Scott Donnelly gave ‘Boro a much needed boost as they beat leaders Salisbury City 2-1 at Cherrywood Road.

An eventful first half saw ‘Boro keeper Craig Bradshaw sent off on 14  minutes for a contentious handball outside of the box, just minutes later the teams were levelled up as Salisbury skipper Brian Dutton also saw red, but Reece Connolly saw his well struck penalty turned on the bar by Mark Scott in the visitors goal.

Donnelly put the hosts in front a minute before the break, and it was then final minute  before he doubled ‘Boro’s advantage.

Jamie White pulled one back in stoppage time, but a resolute ‘ Boro hung on for the well deserved three points.
