THE TALENTED Alfred Bosch-Corbera is looking forward to what 2013 holds in store.
Having been laid low with a back injury that kept him out of action for five weeks earlier in the season, the summer signing is now firing on all cylinders and hoping to make it a successful second half of the campaign for ‘Boro.
“I now feel fully fit and am excited about what the year ahead holds in store for me and the club,” said the former Valencia youth team player. “The injury halted my progress, but I am over it now and looking to get back into a good level of form to help the club challenge near the top of the table.”
The festive matches saw us beat Basingstoke Town at home on Boxing Day before losing the away return on New Year’s Day. “It was a deserved win here,” he added. “The pitch was difficult but we started strongly and got a hold of the game.
“We lost the away match in a 15-minute spell just after half-time. We created chances in the first half but to concede a goal so soon after the break cost us and we lost our concentration.”
‘Boro find themselves on the road again this weekend with a trip to Billericay Town. “It’s going to be a difficult test for us,” Bosch went on. “I’m expecting a physical game but I am confident that we can get back into winning ways.
“The players are confident and it would be nice to get three points to take into our tough home game against Dover Athletic next weekend.”
