‘Boro progressed to the 1st  Round of the Football Conference Youth Alliance League Cup on Wednesday, with a deserved 3-1 away win at Carshalton Athletic.

With Allan Smart away on family business, ‘Boro no 2 Leigh Dynan took the side, and despite a bright start, found themselves a goal down at the break, when a cross come shot bypassed everyone and nestled in at the far post.

‘Boro though rose to the challenge, and within 5 minutes of the re-start, skipper Bakari Sinclair-Smith levelled up proceedings, drilling a shot home form outside the box.

‘Boro’s confidence grew from this moment on and Elliot Amadieu added a second soon after.

Charlie Ten-Grotenhuis was a goliath in ‘Boro’s back line, and he capped off a man of the match performance with the third goal of the afternoon.

In summary a great all round team performance saw ‘Boro through where they will play Woking at home on November 6th.
